FINAL IDEA

 a) Purpose
The purpose of the Fashion app is too have an account and communicate with people about clothing. You’d have a profile and you could post photos of outfits and you have people ask about the outfits and you can put a direct link to the website you brought it from, this will mean people can click on the top in the photo and have a direct link to the website and buy it. The purpose is to get inspiration from other people and enjoy having people ask about yours.

 b) Content
The website will be black and whites but also have a pop of a bright colour, for example a bright pink or purple, however when someone creates their profile they can choose the colour they have, for example if a girl creates a profile and loves pink her website will have black, whites, greys and pinks. The overall layout will have the main links for example ‘Celebrities’ so they can have direct photos of popular celebrity clothes and a link to the shop their clothes are from. Also a ‘Suggested’ section which finds outfits and puts them together so the person on the profile can find new clothing websites which relates to their style. Finally it will have a section for ‘Your Favourite Brands’ this means at the very beginning you can put in all your favourite clothing brands and everything will link and relate to them clothing brands. I also want to add a ‘Following’ or ‘Friends’ section because that will make it look more social media and have more social features to interact with people they know.

 c) Target user / Membership
The target audience for this app is teenage boys and girls but also young adults (15-28) this is because most people that age will order things and care the most about fashion and having new clothes. It’s a perfect way for this audience to find new clothes and style, but also help others to also get inspiration from them and their favourite celebrities.

f) Possible revenue streams

This website would make money by being sponsored by different clothing brands, clothing brands would ask to be on the social media website because they would get lots of popularity and the clothing brands would make money through people seeing clothes they love and wanting to buy them. The social media website ‘ShopStyle’ would also make money through pay per click by the clothing companies because they are advertising the company so ‘ShopStyle’ would make money through advertising.
Relevant revenue potential for this website could be from advertising, this could mean that I have adverts down the side of the website for some other shops that aren't very popular and big and they pay my website a revenue to advertise their company. Also pay per click could be a potential way of revenue as each person that clicks on the advert could earn the website money - for example 10p per click would add up and make the monthly revenue go up.
For example in the first week the website could get 50 people visit the website and 20 people click on the ad, thats making us £2 that week. For the next week it could have 150 people visit the website and then 60 people click on the website that would make the company £6. Also the more people that hear about the website the more people will be visiting 'ShopStyle' and make the sponsored ad have more visitors and us more money by the 10p per click. Over the month that will all add up will make 'ShopStyle' a good ad revenue.

g) Budget

The budget for the website could range from £7-£40 a month by a hosting company. To have someone do the coding could cost £50-£100 an hour which is a massive part of the budget. The average working hours per week is 35 so 35 hours x £50 could cost £1,750 per week.

h) Consider legal / ethical issues

Legal and ethical issues to do with my website could be scamming because people could steal other people’s photos via Instagram or Facebook and pretend it’s their items of clothing and that could become un safe, also links to websites and having peoples card details on their profile could also be a legal ethical issue.

i) Privacy / security measures

Im going to have a log in screen, this will have a username and password. Security measures have to be on the website because it contains peoples details it has to have things kept secret, all passwords and email addresses should be hidden from everyone apart from the persons profile it is. for example if you’re trying to log into ‘ShopStyle’ and you forget your password there should be a password sent to the email address you have registered and that can be how you change your password. You’re not allowed to change your password while you are logged in because if you leave it open by accident and someone goes on the open tab they could change it. Also if you’re on a laptop or computer and you stay signed in and you just exit the window it will automatically log you out so it’s a lot safer.

j) Site map

k) Detailed information as to why that target audience will find it useful and easy to navigate around the website.

The target audience will find it really easy to navigate around the website because its straight forward and everything is labelled and most websites are designed in a similar way which most teenagers have now a day. Someone who is not in my target audience, for example a 45 year old man wouldn't understand and like the way the website is navigated because its not aimed at them, they wouldn't understand the way its laid out or how to get around the site without getting confused. However any gender aged 15-28 would understand the layout and know which part of the website is what and what the aim of the website is for and how to socialise with people.
The main home page has four main heading which are clearly labelled. ‘Profile’ has three options come down when you click on profile and they are also clearly labelled, ‘Settings’ has two more options coming out of it because they are more in depth settings which don’t need to be visible when you click on ‘Profile’, The other four headings are labelled perfectly for the target audience because they are able to understand exactly what is each heading means. They would easily be able to find a certain part on the website which they want to find.
